A friend handed us this eight-page, newspaper-sized comic by the well-known artist R. Crumb. After some research, we found that it has been produced as part of the “point d’ironie” project by the founder of the clothing store agnés b., and was printed in October of 2008. The printed work is supposedly available at agnés b. stores, but we don’t know if it’s still available. You’ll see by the excerpted drawing here that it is wawdwol to the core. It is also, like all R. Crumb’s work, brilliant, disturbing, funny, satiric, despairing, weirdly uplifting and deeply human, all at the same time.
